\(\frac{{ – 49}}{{77}} = \frac{{ – 7}}{{11}}\text{ has denominator }11\text{, we have 11 as another prime divisor 2 and 5. Hence } \frac{{ – 49}}{{77}}\text{ cannot be written as a finite decimal. } \)
